This document illustrates the relationship between the questionnaires and the company/officer profiles.

Create a new Case and open the questionnaires for the first time
Upon opening the questionnaire in the Case, a confirmation pop-up will appear which asks whether data should be pulled in from the respective company/officer profiles. If confirmed, as much data as possible will be reused based on the tags of the questionnaire. If canceled, no data will be pulled in from the profile.
Update a questionnaire (after making changes to the company profile)
When clicking on the sync button (see screenshots), the user can update the questionnaire with answers stored in the profile at any given time. It is important to note that all information in the questionnaire will be overwritten with data from the profile. If you have empty fields in the profile, which are used in the questionnaire, but have an answer in the questionnaire, they will still be overwritten!
After clicking the sync button, the user can still decide to “Cancel” the overwrite.
Completing a questionnaire
When users are happy with their answers on the questionnaire, they need to “Complete” it. This pop-up doesn’t affect data synchronization.
Immediately afterward, a second pop-up asks whether data should be updated in the profile: If the user click on “Update Profile,” all tagged questions are pulled into the profile, overwriting all existing fields related to the tags or adding new Custom Fields to the details. If the user clicks “Cancel”, no data is put to the profile.
Where is data stored after pulling it to the profile?
Default tags are stored under the Details categories
CustomFields are stored under Additional information in the Details tab
The questionnaires are stored in the Questionnaires tab
User edits information in the Questionnaires tab of the company
If data is edited in the company's questionnaires tab, the same pop-up is used when closing the questionnaire. If the user decides to update the profile, all the tagged questions are pulled into the details. If not, the data only lives in the questionnaire. A case always uses data from the Details, which means that the user needs to click on Update Profile if they want to reuse the information in the Cases.
Closed Cases and Completed Questionnaires
Completed questionnaires in a Case are not affected by changes made later; to update completed questionnaires, the user needs to Edit the questionnaire and then press the Update/Sync button, which overwrites data (see above). Closed cases are not locked, meaning the user could go to a Closed case and click on the Update/Sync button (or click Edit first if the questionnaire was completed), which then overwrites data.
